Special Olympics is not just a one-time event. Special Olympics is 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day – our athletes are bringing it all the time! Special Olympics offers more than 20 Olympic-type sports year-round. Whatever your age or skill level, Special Olympics has something for you! Many athletes start in one sport, then go on to try others.
Through sports, Special Olympics Indiana athletes are seeing themselves for their abilities, not disabilities. Their world is opened with acceptance and understanding. They become confident and empowered by their accomplishments. They make new friends, as part of the most inclusive community on the planet – a global community that is growing every day.
We would not exist today – and could not have been created – without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of people just like you, thousands of individuals who choose to take a little time from busy schedules to make the world a better place. Together, let’s change the game!
Volunteers are the backbone of Special Olympics Indiana. If you are seeking a volunteer opportunity that can make a difference in your life and the lives of others, than look no further. Special Olympics Indiana needs you! When you volunteer with Special Olympics Indiana you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Whether you volunteer your time year-round, seasonally or simply for a single-day event, it is an experience you’ll be destined to remember forever. Volunteers are classified in two ways.

Class B – any volunteer who has single day event responsibilities. Examples include:
